Teddington Sub-Aqua Club
Try dive

[ Home ]

The first step to diving is the Try Dive. The session lets you use full scuba kit in the safety of an indoor pool under the supervision of a qualified instructor. You must be at least 12 years old, under 18's must be accompanied by a parent, and you must be able to swim. You should be medically fit. Please note that diving membership of our Club is not open to under 16's.

You should not undertake a Try Dive if you have a cold, any breathing problems, heart condition, epilepsy etc.

Contact John Scott (02089432825 or 07710099851) or Duncan Knox (02089773944 or 07787712541) to arrange a session.

We charge £15 for each try dive.

Try dives take place at our Club nights at Teddington Pool. You would usually turn up around 8.30pm to meet your instructor who will explain the safe use of the kit, which we provide. After your briefing, we ask you to sign a waiver to record that you have had our safety rules explained to you and that you agree to them, and that you are medically fit. A parent must sign for the under 18's. Then, into the pool.

You will need your swimming kit, a towel and a pound coin for a locker. We recomend that you bring a tee-shirt to wear, which will make the dive kit more comfortable.
