Mini scuba experiences for young people

Here at Teddington SAC, we don’t just deal with adults; in the past few weeks we have given try-dives to 22 teenagers and children, introducing them to the techniques we use to explore the underwater world.

We have welcomed students from Turing House school for the past 2 years, and gave been giving scuba lessons to Wendy Dorgan’s Special Needs group at Teddington pool for over 10 years.

The group started the lessons after swimming instructor Wendy noticed her pupils, who have learning and physical disabilities, were fascinated by a diver practising nearby. They have really taken to diving, and many of them return to us year after year.

Club holiday to the Isles of Scilly

Last June (2014) 11 TSAC members enjoyed a diving holiday on the Isles of Scilly with Dive Scilly, Based in St. Mary’s. Our skipper Dave McBride made sure we had a memorable time on our boat Tiburon. Here’s club member Ian’s review of the week.
